SELANNE STEAK TAVERN WINS TWO SANTÉ 2015 AWARDS

Industry Recognition for Restaurant Wine and Spirits Hospitality

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. (June 16, 2015) – Selanne Steak Tavern is pleased to announce it has
been awarded two designations by the Santé Awards 2015 committee: Wine Hospitality Award Fine
Dining; and Spirits Hospitality Award, Restaurant Bar both the sole restaurant in these specific
categories in the California geographical area, one of eight areas in the U.S.

The annual Santé Awards were created in 1998 by Santé Magazine, a premium source of educational
content for restaurateurs and industry professionals. The awards were established to recognize and
honor restaurants for excellence in wine and spirits management and general hospitality.

The judging criteria for the Wine Hospitality Award are based on wine list, unique characteristics
and by-the-glass program. Consideration for the Spirits Hospitality Award is based on spirits
focus, cocktail list and signature drinks. Both awards are judged by the restaurant’s staff
training, special events, and promotions creativity and innovation.

“We are very proud to have been recognized by Santé for the excellence of our wine and spirits
programs,” said Selanne Steak Tavern’s director of operations Leo Fenn, who helms the beverage
lists, staff training and events. Fenn continued, “It has been our goal to bring the spirit of
much-loved classic American steakhouses and taverns to California’s iconic Laguna Beach. Our
carefully selected wine program is designed to complement the hearty fine dining fare of Chef
Joshua Severson by focusing on California cult wines and other highly rated world-class choices.
And, our spirits program has been created to deliver a high-end cocktail and premium liquor
experience featuring top tier alcohol, fresh ingredients, fine draft beers, exceptional brown
spirits and after-dinner libations.”

All Santé Award winners are listed on the Awards page of iSantemagazine.com , featured in a special
Santé Awards section in Santé Magazine and recognized through editorial coverage on the
iSantemagazine.com home page, on the iSanté Facebook page and in a special edition of the iSanté à
la Carte e-newsletter.

Selanne Steak Tavern Wins Two Golden Foodie Awards Last Night

Teemu Selanne at Event to Accept Best New Restaurant and Best Steak Restaurant Awards

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. – Last night, Sunday, September 28, 2014, the third annual Golden Foodie Awards were held at the Fairmont Newport Beach, and Selanne Steak Tavern was awarded two of 26 awards and nominated in a third category. The Golden Foodie Awards, which is open to the public and was attended by over 300 people, is the first “gold carpet” food awards event to recognize the culinary food community and restaurant industry in Orange County. Awards are given to honor the best local independent and chef-driven restaurants, as well Orange County food journalists.

Teemu Selanne opened Selanne Steak Tavern with his co-owner, local businessman Kevin Pratt, in November 2013. At last night’s award event, the restaurant won a Golden Foodie Statue for “Best New Restaurant,” which was determined by receiving the most peer votes from local chefs and restaurateurs during the Golden Foodies ‘Golden Dine-Out’ voting period this past August. The restaurant also won the people’s vote for “Best Steak” restaurant. In addition, Selanne Steak Tavern’s pastry chef Heather Fisher was one of three to be nominated under the “Best Pastry Chef” category.

It was a great honor to accept these Golden Foodie Awards on behalf of the entire dedicated team at Selanne Steak Tavern. Special kudos and thanks are well-deserved by Executive Chef Joshua Severson, Pastry Chef Heather Fisher and their hard-working, goal-oriented crew,” said Selanne. He continued, “Our goal has always been to host Orange County locals, our friends and guests from far and near – giving them a warm welcoming experience, great food, wines and beverages – all in a relaxed, attractive setting.”

Finland Takes the Bronze from USA / Teemu Scores Twice

Feb 22, 2014: After a tough loss to rival Sweden, Finland faced the originally-gold-medal-favored US team. With Tuukka Rusk returning to net as goaltender, the USA couldn't score. And with Teemu on fire in his final Olympic appearance, Finland was unstoppable. After a scoreless first period, Teemu Selanne again brought his team ahead with a shot in the second, quickly followed by another goal by Jokinen. Finland ran the third period, and Teemu scored another goal -- his second of the game -- to cap his sixth Olympics, helping bring Finland to Bronze with a 5-0 shutout of the Americans. Teemu's 4th medal (he already has a silver and 2 bronzes), and brought him to 24 goals, 43 points, and 37 Olympic hockey games as the Olympic all-time leader in points, with 43 (24+19) at age 43 the oldest Olympic hockey medal winner. Looks like it's not just #8 that's lucky anymore.

Teemu, your family, friends, teammates and customers at Selanne Steak Tavern rooted for you, congratulate you, and cannot wait to see you back at home!
