SELANNE STEAK TAVERN WINS TWO SANTÉ 2015 AWARDS

Industry Recognition for Restaurant Wine and Spirits Hospitality


LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. (June 16, 2015) – Selanne Steak Tavern is pleased to announce it has
been awarded two designations by the Santé Awards 2015 committee: Wine Hospitality Award Fine
Dining; and Spirits Hospitality Award, Restaurant Bar both the sole restaurant in these specific
categories in the California geographical area, one of eight areas in the U.S.

The annual Santé Awards were created in 1998 by Santé Magazine, a premium source of educational
content for restaurateurs and industry professionals. The awards were established to recognize and
honor restaurants for excellence in wine and spirits management and general hospitality.

The judging criteria for the Wine Hospitality Award are based on wine list, unique characteristics
and by-the-glass program. Consideration for the Spirits Hospitality Award is based on spirits
focus, cocktail list and signature drinks. Both awards are judged by the restaurant’s staff
training, special events, and promotions creativity and innovation.

programs,” said Selanne Steak Tavern’s director of operations Leo Fenn, who helms the beverage
lists, staff training and events. Fenn continued, “It has been our goal to bring the spirit of

carefully selected wine program is designed to complement the hearty fine dining fare of Chef
Joshua Severson by focusing on California cult wines and other highly rated world-class choices.

experience featuring top tier alcohol, fresh ingredients, fine draft beers, exceptional brown
spirits and after-dinner libations.”
